Design Guided by Hands, Heart, and Intuition

Designing with Heart: Why Intuition is the Secret Ingredient to Your Dream Chilliwack Home

"Good design is simple to describe but hard to achieve: it evokes the exact feeling you intended.

When it works, you feel it before you can explain it."

The "Slightly Mad Scientist" Behind the Style

I’ll let you in on a secret: I’m a mix of an intuitive creator and a slightly mad scientist. I experiment, I trust my gut, and I carry a quiet layer of self-doubt that keeps me curious. I don’t fight that contradiction; I embrace it.

Whether you’re a new resident in Chilliwack moving into a fresh build or a long-time homeowner ready for a luxury renovation, you deserve a designer who shows up, even when the answers aren't obvious yet. At my core, I value integrity and the courage to find clarity in the chaos of a construction site.

The "Aha!" Moment at 18

I knew I wanted to be a designer at 18. It wasn't because I had a 10-step corporate plan; it was because something clicked when I was creating. Making things felt necessary.

As a BCIT Certified Interior Designer, I’ve spent years refining the technical side, but my heart remains in the act of creation. I love bringing together psychology, design principles, and raw materials to make a room "feel right."

Tactile, Not Just Technical: My Design Process

In my late thirties, life forced me to slow down and listen. It clarified something essential:

my hands aren't just tools, they’re part of my soul.

While some designers live exclusively in spreadsheets, I design by:

  • Touching materials (the grain of reclaimed wood, the weave of organic linen).

  • Sketching by hand to see where intuition becomes form.

  • Prioritizing presence and curiosity over rigid refinement.

If you are looking for sustainable interior design in the Fraser Valley, you’ll find that my process invites play before decisions.

I believe that a home should be a collection of experiences, not just a list of deliverables.

What It’s Like to Collaborate with Me

Working with me means conversation, logic, and a deep care for the outcome.

I’ll be honest: I don’t do "extremely technical" drawings well, they shut down my creative flow.

What I do exceptionally well is read between the lines. I sense what a space wants to become and shape it with intention.

I do my best work where there is trust and respect.

If you value collaboration over control, we are going to be a perfect match.

Beyond the Four Walls

My passion for creating unforgettable homes extends into how I think about food, fashion, the earth, and animals.

To me, designing for the environment isn't a trend, it's a responsibility.

My personal motto is simple:

Be the change you wish to see in the world.”

Whether I’m hiking the local trails, travelling to find a fresh perspective, or learning how to run this business (slowly and honestly!),

I want my work to help you live better. I want to improve your quality of life in ways that feel subtle but deeply meaningful.

Why This Blog

This blog is a space to think out loud, about design, creativity, work, doubt, growth, and becoming better at all of it.

If this resonates, we’ll probably work well together.

This is how I work. This is how I show up.
