Nestled in the mountains of Ryder Lake, Chilliwack, BC, this home was envisioned as a timeless retreat, rustic in feel, yet modern in execution.
The client wanted a space that celebrated natural materials and fine craftsmanship without overwhelming the environment or interior.
The design focused on authenticity and attention to detail. Black walnut cabinetry provides rich, natural warmth, complemented by hand-scraped tile for the backsplash, adding texture and character. Custom-selected handles brought a subtle, refined touch, showing that even the smallest details matter. The interior remains uncluttered, with minimal furniture, including sleek bar stools that let the materials and architectural details shine.
Every element was chosen to harmonize with the mountain setting, allowing the surrounding landscape to take center stage. The result is a home that feels both grounded and contemporary, a rustic-modern retreat where timeless design meets thoughtful craftsmanship.
